Justice League – Coog Cinema Reviews

Danielle Jacobo and Jackson Brock give their thoughts on Justice League!
Synopsis- Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.
Full thoughts- Justice League falls in the middle of the of DCEU’s chaotic incoherent universe. Zack Snyder’s most recent attempt in tying together this team of iconic superheroes falls flat with a dull, forced performance from Ben Affleck, an awkward desperate shot at humor from Ezra Miller, a child-like performance from recently defamed Jason Mamoa, a forgettable attempt from whoever plays Cyborg and a decent performance from real like Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot. Justice League debuted an embarrassing CG rendition of D.C. Comic villain, Steppanwolf whose motives, powers and storyline are extremely underwhelming although about what I anticipated based off of the films marketing and teasers. The “team” fails to ever truly “unite,” as the marketing campaign lead the audience to believe they would. Instead, they fight either among themselves, or one on one against Steppanwolf. Superman finally finds his charm but unfortunately at a point that is too late to have lasting satisfaction or an emotional response from the average audience member. Also, have you seen Supermans’ CGI mustache?! Oh my gosh. Why would they think that is a good idea at all. At this point, the DCEU needs to start fresh. Let go of everyone except Gal Gadot and move forward. I truly believe that is the only way to save this franchise.
